| HOLE 1
A 390 yard dog-leg left with a fairway bunker on the right. If you hit the
fairway you can expect to reach the unguarded green with a mid-iron.
HOLE 2 First of four
par 5's at Oak Hills. Its reachable for long hitters and if done correctly,
the average player can birdie it. A solid drive leaves a 3 wood or long iron
to the green. Careful of the three fairway bunkers on the left and the bunker
fronting the green.
HOLE 3 An accurate
tee shot on this par 4 will leave a long iron into a well bunkered
green.
HOLE 4 Looks can be
deceiving on this 153 yard par 3. With a slope to the left of the green and
a bunker front-right, a ball landing on the green is your best bet for par.
And, par is a good score.
HOLE 5 A good scoring
hole - this 375 yard, par 4. The fairway moves to the left and has one greenside
bunker. If your tee shot's down the middle and you hit the green, birdie
is a possibility.
HOLE 6 On this 90 degree
dog-leg left par 5, a good drive out to the fairway will give you a great
place to hit your lay-up shot to dog-leg knee, leaving only a shot iron in.
This could be your best chance for birdie so far.
HOLE 7 Slight dog-leg
left. No bunkers - but lots of trees guarding the fairway. An accurate tee
shot is a must. Your approach shot is a short iron on a slightly elevated
green. But, don't miss it right or you will be hoping for bogey!
HOLE 8 This is a tough
par 3. Protected by green-side bunkers, a par here will make you happy!
HOLE 9 Protected on
the left by oak trees, this par 4 has a wide fairway. Drive for the heart
of the fairway and a mid to short iron brings you in on a deep and narrow
green.
HOLE 10 A great start
to Oak Hills back side! A solid drive leaves you a longto-mid iron
onto an elevated, two-tiered green. Hit them long and straight for a well
deserved par.
HOLE 11 This uphill
par 3 requires a sizeable carry from tee to reach the very large putting
surface. Different pin placements can mean up to a 3 club swing.
HOLE 12 A good drive
puts you in the center of a uphill-downhill fairway. Second shot plays slightly
less then actual yardage because of elevation drop from fairway to green.
An accurate second shot is essential into this fairly narrow putting area,
backed by a bunker.
HOLE 13 The first
par 5 on the back nine demands a straight tee shot 270 yards to clear the
90 degree dog-leg, right. Bunker protects left front of green. Putting surface
is deep, note pin placement.
HOLE 14 Oak Hills
signature hole! You must hit your tee shot uphill to a dog-leg, left. The
green has a large slope on right and bunker on the left. To make par you
must be on in two! This is where it gets tough!
HOLE 15 If your distance
isn't right on this par 3, you could be writing a bogey or more on your score
card. Play it smart!
HOLE 16 The tee shot
will make or break you on this straight-away par 4 with narrow landing area
and a fairway bunker on right. If you find the fairway you will have a mid-iron
in to a flat green.
HOLE 17 With a swooping
fairway this final par 5 will challenge you every inch of the way! Fairway
bunkers will narrow the landing area of your tee shot. Your second shot in
to a large flat green.
HOLE 18 If you like
great finishing holes, you will love this one. At a little over 400 yards,
this 18th hole takes you on a climb the whole way to find a large elevated
green guarded by a bunker in the front.
